Phase I and II ESAs for Solar Farms throughout North American

Project Description

KTA has completed over 75 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in the past 10 years for solar farm facilities in 18 of 50 states. The size of the solar farms has ranged from 3 to 4,500 acres with most being approximately 2,500 acres. These Phase I ESAs have been completed for multinational wind energy development companies and large financing institutions. KTA has completed substantial Phase II ESA soil and groundwater investigations and site restoration to mitigate risks identified in the Phase I ESAs. KTA has also supported the assessment of locating solar farms on Brownfields. The Brownfields have included a landfill cap outside of Washington DC and potentially contaminated property at Denver International Airport.
