SITE RESTORATION
Developing and implementing environmental restoration plans for property can be challenging and frustrating. This is exacerbated by the cost, which often ranges from the 100’s of thousands to millions of dollars. In the 1980’s and early 1990’s, site restoration efforts often resembled research projects. With time, the uncertainty associated with site restoration has reduced. Today, there are a variety of approaches and tools available to limit uncertainty and the resulting costs associated with site restoration.
At KTA, we look at site restoration projects in three phases: 1) Assess whether site restoration should actually be performed, 2) Develop and obtain approval of a site restoration / cleanup action plan, and 3) Implement the site restoration / cleanup action plan. KTA personnel have conducted these phases on site restoration projects with costs ranging from as little as $10,000 to over $120,000,000. Additionally, KTA works with a variety of outstanding attorneys, environmental consultants, and construction contractors specializing in specific phases of site restoration.
